Taichi Master Feng Junli, comes from the home town of Chen Style Taichi Chuan (Taijiquan), Chen Jia Gou, in the Henan Province of China. Enlightened by an older generation keen on practising Chinese Martial Arts, Feng has been passionate about Wushu since he was young. At the age of 8, he started to learn Shaolin Wushu from his Uncle, and subsequently had the opportunity to learn Chen Style Taichi Chuan from the 11th Generation Successor, Maestro Wang Xian, also known as one of the four “Great Grand Masters of Chen Style Taichi”. As a fellow disciple, Feng received very personal, verbal and up-close teaching and demonstration from the Maestro Wang directly, and had the chance to appreciate the subtle essence and profoundness of Taichi Chuan and Taichi Pushing Hands.
Since 1985, at the age 18, Master Feng had started to compete in Taichi competitions held in different Counties, Provinces and Nationwide in China, as well as International Competitions, and had won countless Gold Medals and outstanding achievements in all the three areas of Taichi including : Taichi Chuan, Taichi Sword and Taichi Pushing Hands.
Master Feng has been diligently engaged in Wushu for over 40 years, and is an experienced teacher and mentor, and possesses professional teaching qualifications of Chen Style Taichi from The Chen Style Taichi Specialised Academy (温縣陳式太極拳專修院) and The Taichi Wushu Stadium in Henan (河南省温縣太極武術館) , since more than 30 years ago.
In 2001, China Taichi Club ( 中華太極社 ) was founded in Hong Kong, with an aspiration to nurture and groom the next generation of fellow disciples. From time to time, Master Feng leads his students to participate in Taichi Competitions held in Hong Kong and China, as well as overseas (Taiwan and Singapore), winning Team and Individual Trophies. Besides competitions, Master Feng and his students also actively participate in fund-raising charities and sports festivals, engaging in Taichi performances.
Master Feng has also been promoting the Taichi Culture amongst enthusiasts in the hope to connect, nurture and continue the excellence of this ancient culture of Chinese Martial Arts.
